A team of volunteers worked hard this week to ensure that the foodbank was able to distribute over 1100 Christmas gift boxes to care workers at agencies, including Children’s Services, Andover Young Carers, Andover Mencap and a number of local schools, who then discretely pass the gift boxes on to families in time for Christmas. The foodbank continues to work closely with care workers to ensure that no child is missed.
Demand for Christmas gift boxes was higher than in any previous year. The foodbank is grateful to individuals, groups and companies, clubs and schools for their generous donations of filled boxes, and for their financial donations which were used to buy additional gifts. A volunteer team worked hard to check, pack, sort, wrap, label and deliver the boxes.
The foodbank also thanks Sadie @zillennial.marketing for her fantastic videos to support this appeal.
The focus at the foodbank is now on Christmas food hampers. To find out more or donate look at 12 days to Christmas
