How to help a local child this Christmas

20th October 2020

There are many ways you can help a local child this Christmas and you can do some of these from home if getting out to shop is difficult.

  1. Make up and deliver a gift box to the foodbank by Friday 6 November. Encourage your friends, family or work place to get in involved. Click here for more details
  2. Shopping online? By registering at Give As You Live and selecting us as your charity, you can shop at over 4300 online retailers and we get an extra donation when you buy – just login to your account before you shop! Click here to register
  3. Donate to our gift box appeal directly through Give as you Live and please add giftaid if you can. Donations help us top up the age groups where we are short of boxes so no one misses out. Click here to donate
  4. Text GIFTBOX and the amount you want to donate to 70085 (eg GIFTBOX 5). Text GIFTBOXNOINFO and the amount you want to donate if you do not want us to contact you in the future. Texts will cost your donation amount plus one standard rate message:

£2 buys pencils or pens and colouring/activity book

£5 buys a storybook or Lego model set

£15 puts together a whole gift box for a child this Christmas

  1. Doing some early Christmas shopping for someone who cares about children? Buy them a gift from our foodbank gifts range. They will receive a card acknowledging the gift and a child in our community has the gift of waking up to a present on Christmas morning.  Click gifts to see our gifts range
